What they came in needing
A recurring series with a host and rotating guests, recorded to a schedule, delivered as finished episodes and social clips. TODO: name the client here once cleared.
What made it difficult
Most podcast setups solve for audio and treat video as a bonus, which produces episodes that sound good and look like a webcam call. The clips are also usually an afterthought, cut weeks later by someone who was not in the room and does not know where the good moments were.
What we shot
Multi camera coverage so the edit has angles to cut between rather than one locked wide, with an engineer running the session so nobody in the room was thinking about levels. The room was lit as a set rather than as an office with a light in it.
How the day ran
Sessions blocked so guests overlapped as little as possible, with the set staying built between recordings. Because the same team cut the episodes, moments worth clipping were flagged as they happened rather than rediscovered in an edit weeks later.
What was delivered
Full episode edits plus vertical cutdowns sized for social, from the same recording day. Parking and a goods lift on site meant guests and kit arrived without a fight, which matters more on a recurring booking than on a one off.
What changed afterwards
TODO: the client's own account, and any published result.
