About Motherlight | Shoreditch Photography Studio
Menswear photography being shot at Motherlight Studios

About us

A Shoreditch studio for commercial and editorial work.

Our approach

Good imagery is deliberate, not lucky.

Motherlight was built on a straightforward idea. An image should be planned on purpose, made properly, and do a job when it goes live. That applies as much to a product cutout as to a campaign frame.

From product photography through to full production, the same team handles direction, the shoot and the finish. One point of contact from the brief to the final files, rather than three suppliers and a lot of forwarding.

The studio is ours, so a set that needs another hour gets another hour. Nothing is squeezed around somebody else's booking, and the day runs at the pace the work needs.

Not sure where to start?

Tell us what you’re shooting, and when.

We cannot say anything useful about crew, timing or price until we know a little about the shoot. Six quick questions and we will come back with the best way to help.

  • Step 1

Tell us what you are shooting

Six quick questions about the work, the timing and how much of it you want us to run.

  • Step 2

We come back with a number

A realistic price and approach for your actual shoot, rather than a plan you have to fit into.

  • Step 3

    Pick a time to talk

Fifteen minutes with the team who would run the day, at a time that suits you.
