Consistency
The catalogue has to match itself.
Most ecommerce imagery fails slowly rather than obviously. One drop is lit slightly warmer than the last, a new photographer crops a little tighter, and six months later the grid looks like three different brands sharing a website.
We build the lighting setup once, document it, and shoot back to it. A piece photographed in March sits next to one photographed in October without a reshoot, because the setup was written down rather than remembered.
Colour is checked against your actual samples on the day rather than corrected from memory afterwards, which is the difference between a return caused by the photography and a return caused by the product.
How a day runs
What we need, and what you get
Before the shoot
- Your spec sheet, or ours if you do not have one yet
- The range, with a rough shot count per piece
- Samples steamed and on a rail, in the sizes being shot
- Any reference imagery you want the set to match
After the shoot
- Retouched files cut to your spec sheet
- Consistent colour checked against the physical samples
- Ghost mannequin cleanup where the range needs it
- The lighting setup documented, so the next drop matches this one
