Every angle, lit on purpose.

Product work lives or dies on lighting. We shoot from the angles that show the piece honestly, and light for the material rather than to a formula, so leather reads as leather and silk reads as silk.

Ghost mannequin is a specialism here. The garment keeps its shape and drape with the form removed, which gives a clean, consistent grid across a whole catalogue.

Flat lay, still life and detail crops are shot in the same session, so a launch set comes back complete rather than in pieces.

What is ghost mannequin photography?

Ghost mannequin, sometimes called invisible mannequin or hollow man, is a technique where a garment is shot on a mannequin and the mannequin is then removed in post, leaving the clothing holding its own shape. It shows fit and structure that a flat lay cannot, without the cost of booking a model. We cover it in more depth on our ghost mannequin photography page.

Should I shoot flat lay or on model?

Flat lay is faster and cheaper per SKU and works well for accessories, basics and anything where fit is not the deciding factor. On model shows drape, fit and scale, and converts better on considered purchases. Most ranges use both: flat lay or ghost mannequin for the catalogue, on model for the pieces doing the selling.

How many products can you shoot in a day?

It depends on the setup and how much styling each piece needs. A simple flat lay run moves much faster than on model work with changes between looks. Send us the range and we will give you a realistic count for a day rather than an optimistic one.

Do you retouch the images as well?

Yes, in house. Retouching, ghost mannequin cleanup and colour consistency are handled by the same team in the same building, cut to your spec sheet.
